Devices report to the Near app, where you can check status, set schedules and group several products into a single action. The Near Smart Plug adds voice control through Google Assistant, Alexa and Siri, so lamps, fans and TVs can be switched without a hub.
Plugs sit inline with existing sockets and the compact body is designed not to block the adjacent outlet; the maximum load listed for the Near Smart Plug is 13A. Sensors are wireless and mount to doors, windows and walls, so most additions are a matter of placing the device and pairing it.
